Procopio employs Traffic Management Operators for the I-595 Express Corridor Improvements Project. This east-west corridor is in the initial phase of construction that will incorporate the installation of tolled reversible express lanes, the addition of auxiliary lanes, continuous frontage road connections, the construction of New River Greenways, sound barriers and Bus Rapid Transit.

The Traffic Management Operators are responsible for monitoring I-595, from I-75/Sawgrass Expressway to I-95 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Their keen eyes monitor the roadway for traffic congestion, traffic incidents, and assist with debris removal to ensure safe passage for the I-595 patrons. Our staff utilizes ITS devices and Sun Guide software to maintain an accurate real-time traffic incident status database. Further, the operators are responsible for keeping the general public informed of incident status and lane closures via Dynamic Message Signs, Highway Advisory Radio, text messages and telephone communication.
